Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will be a vital member of the accounting department, responsible for supporting the management of day-to-day financial tasks. This role includes assisting in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Junior Accountant will collaborate closely with the Senior Accountant and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the company’s accounting system.

• Reconcile bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Assist in accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing invoices and following up on outstanding payments.

• Support the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Monitor and manage petty cash transactions.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager.
